Welcome.
Powerful changes require powerful therapy.
Individual problems combined with the stress of contemporary society can lead to negative or self-destructive behavior.
Such conditions as depression, anxiety, and social phobias are but a few examples of such disorders in adults. Others, related to life crises
include: death of a loved one, divorce, or job loss and are often referred to as adjustment disorders. Children often experience Attention Deficit
Disorders, Defiant Behavior, or Developmental Difficulties.
Whatever the issue, people often feel they should be able to handle their problems on their own. Many people still feel therapy signifies "mental
illness" and the stigma often keeps them from seeking help. Ironically, admitting to a need for help is a sign of "strength" and often allows the
healing process to begin.
Next, it is important to find a therapist who can help you identify the problem, discover the cause, and begin to find ways to resolve it.
Occasionally, a referral to a specialist or treatment facility may be necessary.
Whatever the situation, your therapist should be qualified, sensitive, and licensed. Be sure you feel comfortable with your choice because the two of
you will be delving into emotional territory.
Your therapist will be your support system, your facilitator, your life coach. Your success often depends on mutual trust and the amount of time and
energy you devote to the process.
As a therapist, who has undergone analysis myself, I am aware of the process.
I feel I have the skills, experience, and compassion to guide you on your journey to mental health.
